Senior Software Engineer II

Our client is a private market infrastructure platform connecting founders, investors, and venture funds through modern equity management software. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to lead complex technical projects, simplify platform architecture, and help build a connected ERP system for private markets. In this role, you will lead the implementation of core accounting and investor reporting workflows. You'll drive execution on complex technical projects from design to production, maintaining high reliability and performance. You will actively simplify existing database models and backend systems to increase developer velocity, while mentoring peers through design reviews and PR feedback. Additionally, you will partner closely with product teams to build scalable solutions that secure billions in transactional assets.

What You'll Do:

• Lead execution of complex systems for fund operations and investor reporting.
• Deconstruct and simplify database structures to improve performance and velocity.
• Mentor and raise the technical bar for mid-level engineers on the team.

What You'll Bring:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building scalable backend platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python/Django or Java, and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React.
• Experience with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, gRPC) and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to own technical projects end-to-end with minimal guidance.
